What
matters is that I live my life according to my understanding, and
therefore
that
I form my understanding as well as I can.
Every religion is
someone else's understanding.
I can agree with someone
else, and my understanding can incorporate such ideas, but then it is
my understanding and is no longer someone else's understanding.
So I need to form my understandings
carefully.
Life is concerned more with action than with thought. Life can
occur without thought, but it cannot occur without action.
If my heart beats, that is action. If my body moves food through my gut, that is action. If my brain gives me a thought, maybe that is
action of a sort, but, like an egg in the nest, it is not a bird.
To fly you have to hatch.
That is action.
An
egg is just a thought.
It is not dead.
But it is
not fully alive either.
